Odetta Holmes, 2006

Odetta, właśc. Odetta Holmes (ur. 31 grudnia 1930 w Birmingham, zm. 2 grudnia 2008 w Nowym Jorku)^[1][2] − afroamerykańska piosenkarka, gitarzystka, autorka tekstów, a także działaczka na rzecz praw człowieka. Odznaczona Narodowym Medalem Sztuki.

Jej repertuar obejmował amerykański folk, blues, jazz i negro spirituals. Była ważną postacią podczas odrodzenia amerykańskiego folku w latach 50. i 60. XX wieku, była inspiracją dla takich muzyków jak Bob Dylan, Joan Baez i Janis Joplin.
